Stranraer Skills Station believe it is important for all Individuals to Stay in their Own Environment, with their Home Comforts for as long as possible.
Our commitment is to promote their Independence and Tailor the Care and Support Needs in the way They Choose.



We have Three Day Care Support Hubs:
Skills-Station@Corsewall
Skills-Station@Shorefront
Skills-Station@PlatformOne
All the Support Hubs provide a Safe and Stimulating Environment to Socialise and Participate in various Activities as You Require.
Corsewall and Shorefront are our Day Care Social Hubs for Older Adults and Platform One is our Hub for Young Adults with Additional and Complex Needs.
Support can be accommodated for all Adults over 16 years, we support those with Additional or Specialist Needs and Older adults; all Support is Tailored to the Individuals Outcomes.
Each Social Hub offers something different and all provide Small Groups, Comfortable and Cheerful settings, with Supportive and Friendly Employees.
Individuals can be Supported to Develop or Maintain Life Skills: –
We can Tailor our Support to Meet your Needs, Wishes and Outcomes and this is always lead by you.



A significant part of our Team is Working in the Community, Supporting Service Users in their Own Home.
Their tasks are Many and Rewarding and importantly Enable the Individuals to remain as Independently as Possible, whilst still living in their Own Homes.
We also Support People to Live Independently in their Own Homes via our 24/7 Support Services.
We offer Support Funding as detailed below or by Self or Privately Funded Care and Support.
Self-Directed Support aims to give Individuals More Flexibility, Choice and Control over their Health and Social Care Support.
Self-directed Support is based around the Five Key Principles of Respect, Fairness, Freedom, Safety, and Independence.
There are Four Different Funding Options for Self-Directed Support!
Direct Payment: The Supported Person receives a Direct Payment, and They Can Choose how to spend it on Their Care.
Individual Service Fund held by their Provider: The Supported Person decides on the Support They Want, and Appropriate Support is Arranged and Paid For on their behalf.
Directly Sourced and Paid for by your Local Authority.
Mix of options One Two and Three.
