I like the ethos behind Stranraer Skills Station and how they try so hard to achieve a good outcome with the Service User.  I have no idea how Stranraer Skills Station apply Staff training policies albeit I am sure if I were to enquire about them, I would be brought up to date.  I enjoy working in collaboration with the Leaders at Stranraer Skills Station.

I joined Stranraer Skills Station four months ago to work within the Day Care Centres and I have not regretted my decision since the day I started.  The team I work with is dedicated to the Service Users, Families, and Management team.  I have learned so much from each team member and continue to learn each day.  The Management team is very approachable and keeps us up to date with any changes.  Staff go beyond to ensure each member’s needs are supported.

I feel Support Staff and Managers respond very well to the needs of their Service Users.  They take the time to really get to know the people they support and keep the Professionals up to date at all times.  The staff keeps Professionals updated and we work collaboratively to ensure the best support is provided to Service Users.  I have found that the Management team does communicate well with their Staff and Professionals alike.

This is the first occasion that I have had dealings with a Care Group in the Home.  I am very impressed with the operation and the organisation, which must be a near-impossible task to find cover for all their Service Users, their times, and their needs.  All the Carers must be chosen very carefully, as they all show the same kind, friendly and helpful qualities; nothing is too much trouble for them, and they do go the extra mile.  I wish Stranraer Skills Station my best wishes and keep up the good work.
